DARREN Manning may look to freshen up his Hullbridge Sports side when they visit Tilbury tomorrow.

Sports are set to make the trip to Chadfields for their latest Isthmian North encounter.

And, following a 3-1 defeat to Heybridge Swifts in midweek, Manning admits changes may be made to his starting line-up.

“Our players looked quite leggy in the defeat to Heybridge in midweek, so we will assess the players in that respect,” said Hullbridge boss Manning, who guided the club to the Essex Senior League title last season.

“We may freshen it up a bit because some of the players have been playing a lot of games in recent weeks.

“But we will take a team with us who are capable of getting a positive result.”

Tilbury are managed by former Basildon United boss Marc Harrison, who is assisted by Liam Wallace.

And Manning is expecting a tricky test against a physical Dockers side.

“I know Marc and Liam very well and it will be a very difficult game for us,” added Manning.

“But, at the end of the day, every game is going to be tough this season.

“We have been preparing correctly and that’s important because Tilbury are a good side.”

Hullbridge go into the fixture having seen a three-match unbeaten run, which included back-to-back Isthmian North wins, ended by Heybridge in midweek.

Tilbury, meanwhile, missed the chance to move to within a point of the play-off places following a 3-1 defeat to high-flying Grays Athletic on Wednesday.
