BOWERS & Pitsea emerged victorious and East Thurrock United claimed a point, but Great Wakering Rovers and Southend Manor were condemned to defeats today.

Rob Small's Bowers made the trip to Isthmian Premier League strugglers Corinthian-Casuals looking to bounce back from a late loss against Cray Wanderers seven days earlier.

And Brad Warner grabbed the only goal of the encounter to ensure Bowers sealed a 1-0 win.

The first meaningful attempt of the clash went Bowers' way and Warner's 15th minute strike deflected onto the woodwork.

Corinthian-Casuals responded with Kevat Serbonij forcing goalkeeper Callum Chafer into an impressive save with a header.

However, Bowers broke the deadlock on the stroke of half-time.

James Thomas found Warner and the frontman rounded custodian Daniel Bracken before coolly slotting into the back of the net.

Bowers were fortunate to see Shaun Okojie's strike cannon off the post moments after the interval.

Corinthian-Casuals were unable to find a leveller and Bowers are now 15th in the standings.

Also in the Isthmian Premier League, East Thurrock hit a late equaliser to secure a 3-3 draw with Kingstonian.

Mitch Gilbey, Ben Marlow and Matt Price got their names on the scoresheet at the Grayers Graphics Stadium.

Gilbey gave Rocks a 13th minute lead and the hosts doubled their advantage thanks to Marlow finding the target via the post.

But Kingstonian halved the deficit five minutes before the break as former Southend United and Concord Rangers full-back Sean Clohessy fired a rebound past East Thurrock goalkeeper Jack Giddens.

Dan Hector and Simon Hooper were frustrated by goal-line clearances shortly after the break, but the visitors restored parity on the hour mark through Hector.

The clash was turned on its head as Hector's strike found the back of the net after cannoning off the woodwork.

However, Price stole a point by scoring with three minutes remaining.

In the Isthmian North, Wakering suffered a 1-0 defeat to Grays Athletic.

The only goal of the clash came in the dying moments, with Joao Carlos delivering the knockout blow.

Southend Manor were consigned to a 3-0 loss by West Essex in the Essex Senior League.
