SOUTHEND Manor have the opportunity to pull clear of the Essex Senior League drop zone when they welcome Hoddesdon Town to Southchurch Park tomorrow.

Manor are currently third-from-bottom in the standings and three points better off than Enfield, who are immediately below them.

A victory would allow Craig Waters’ Manor to move level on points with 12th-placed Woodford Town.

Hoddesdon, meanwhile, are ninth and will pose a threat when they make the journey to Southchurch Park.

Manor have been in promising form since the turn of the year having suffered just one defeat in January.
