CONCORD Rangers chairman Ant Smith is keen for the date of the FA Trophy final to be changed – so more of the club’s fans can watch at Wembley.

Concord’s clash at the home of English football is due to be played on Sunday September 27.

But a game that weekend could only be watched by a maximum of 1,000 fans due to restrictions caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

And Smith is keen for the final to be pushed back in a bid to enable more supporters to be in attendance.

“Following discussions with FA representatives we are in agreement that the date for the FA Trophy should be reviewed to see if a date can be agreed where supporters of clubs can have the chance of attending the game,” said Smith.

“We will follow up with further news as it's received.”

Concord will face either Notts County or Harrogate Town in the final.
