ALEX Wall scored his second goal in as many games to secure a point in a 1-1 draw for Concord Rangers against Welling United last night, reports Leon Imber.

The game was tightly contested, and the first 45 minutes saw no real action.

But the same couldn’t be said for the second half, as almost immediately from the kick-off, Wall was on target for the Beach Boys.

They couldn’t hold onto the one goal advantage though, and three minutes later Lyle Della Verde was on hand to level the game back up for the visitors.

Rangers looked the more likely to take the three points in the second half, but it wasn’t to be as they were resiliently held off by the struggling visitors.

The result sees Danny Scopes’ side 16th in the National League South table, with a comfortable five points between them and the drop zone.
