THIS week’s fixtures entail away trips for both Billericay Town and Concord Rangers, reports Leon Imber.

The latter do not have to travel far though, as they take on Braintree Town, the side that are rock bottom in the National League South standings.

The home side have played seven games and picked up zero points so far this season.

So, it is safe to say that Danny Scopes’ men have a favourable fixture, but they must guard their complacency as the Iron will be desperate for success.

Concord sit 17th going into the match, four places and five points above their opposition.

At Park View road, Billericay will take on Welling United, the side that previously mentioned Concord drew 1-1 against just a week ago.

Jamie O’Hara’s side have won their last two matches after a slow start to the season and striker Jake Robinson is in scintillating form.

The ex-Northampton Town forward has scored five goals in his last three games and is the obvious threat for Welling in this fixture.

The two sides meet separated by just a point in the league table.
