ASSISTANT manager Paul Konchesky felt Billericay Town fought back to secure a ‘fantastic point’ at Maidstone United this afternoon.
Ibrahim Olutade put the hosts in front after just six minutes before a Jake Robinson in the second half meant the National League South encounter ended in a 1-1 draw.
And Konchesky was pleased with the share of the spoils.
“It’s a fantastic point,” Konchesky told the club's official website.
“Coming to Maidstone is always going to be tough and we gave away a sloppy goal.
We knew it was going to be tough but the boys fought hard and the second half was fantastic.
“It was a great performance in the second half and a great point too.”
Billericay now sit 15th in the standings and Konchesky felt a change of shape proved key.
“We had to make a change,” said Konchesky.
“Michael Chambers had to come off with a knock and it forced us into a change we were thinking about doing anyway.
“It was a change of shape and the boys started the second half much quicker than they did in the first.
“We put a lot of pressure on them and made it count too.
