SOUTHEND United manager Mark Molesley cannot wait to have Shrimpers supporters back inside Roots Hall.
Blues fans have been unable to attend matches so far this season due to the coronavirus pandemic.
But, with the restrictions now starting to ease, Molesley is hoping that can change during December.
"It will be massive to have them back," said Molesley.
"I’d like to think they would be a little bit sympathetic with the injuries we have and the things going on.
"They can see a team out there giving everything and working their socks off.
"It’s a young group learning their trade and hopefully a few of our players can come back and the fans can come back too to make the landscape look much different."
Blues remain bottom of the League Two table, six points from safety following Tuesday night's 1-0 defeat against Forest Green Rovers.
But Molesley is confident the situation can change.
"I work with these players every day and we can see how good we can be," said the Blues boss.
"We’re very close but we need the rub of the green with being able to get some consistency with team selection.
"We’ve not been able to do that yet but we will be stronger for these hardships when things do turn round and they will turn round."
