SOUTHEND United manager Mark Molesley is not sure how much of Saturday's game Alan McCormack will be able to play in.
The midfielder returned from a calf injury to play the final 16 minutes of Tuesday night's 1-0 defeat to Forest Green Rovers at Roots Hall.
And Molesley is pleased to have the experienced Irishman back in his squad for this weekend's trip to Bolton Wanderers.
"It was great to see Alan come on for the last 20 minutes on Tuesday," said Molesley.
"He’s had a few more days training since then and he’s back into combative training too.
"He’s up and running and available for selection.
"How long he can last or needs to play we’ll have to see when we get a bit closer to Saturday.
"He’s fit and ready for selection but we need to be careful and we can’t push him too hard too soon."
