CONCORD Rangers host Billericay Town when the two sides meet for the first time this season on Boxing Day, reports Leon Imber.

It will be Billericay’s first league outing since their 6-2 defeat to Hampton and Richmond in November due to the COVID-19 outbreak at the club.

The hosts go into the match off the back of their 2-1 defeat to Truro City in the FA Trophy, so Danny Scopes will certainly be eager for a positive reaction from his side.

Not only is this an important match in terms of geographic location, but in the standings both sit in the lower reaches of the division.

The Beach Boys currently sit two points and four places above Town in the National League South table and a victory would be very beneficial for either side to take themselves away from the drop zone.

Billericay interim boss Dan Brown will be taking charge of his second match at the club against Concord and must force a good reaction from the disappointing defeat to Braintree Town in the FA Trophy.
