ROCHFORD Hundred head coach Danny Cleare is expecting one of the toughest games of this season this weekend.

Rochford host Barnes at Magnolia Road.

And Cleare knows it will be another stern test.

Barnes are an excellent team and have recruited well this year,” said Cleare.

“They’ve turned themselves into one of the front runners of the league.

“They have a big pack, a lively backline and a nine that controls the game really well with his box kick.

“They also have arguably the most aggressive defence in the league with their line speed so Saturday will 100 per cent be one of the toughest games we have at Rochford all season.”

Barnes sit fourth in the National League Two East table with Rochford third from bottom.

And Hundred are not helped by a large injury list.

“It doesn’t help when we are also missing so many experienced players,” said Cleare.

“We have really struggled with consistency with our squad since Christmas.

“We currently have 20 plus injuries in the first team squad and since the Walsham game we have lost Najee, Rufai, Mac, Rasor, Sonny and Ricki.

“But we do welcome back Dudman, Shields and Tauren back into the squad.
