WESTCLIFF got back to winning ways in Regional One South East, beating Shelford 27-20 at the Gables.
Westcliff remain at the foot of the table but are now just two points behind second from bottom Rochford Hundred who lost 25-15 at home to Letchworth Garden City.
In Regional Two Anglia, table-topping Southend Saxons made it nine wins in a row with a 21-14 victory at Brentwood.
Saxons are now two points clear of second placed Eton Manor.
In Counties Two Essex (South) table-topping Basildon beat Millwall 82-5, third placed Billericay saw off Barking 45-5 and fourth placed Canvey Island won 18-16 against Old Brentwoods.
