THERE were defeats for Rochford Hundred and Westcliff in Regional One South East on Saturday.
Second from bottom Rochford lost 28-15 at Tring while bottom of the table Westcliff were beaten 12-17 at home to Old Northamptonians.
However, Westcliff are now just one point below Rochford.
In Regional Two Anglia, table-topping Southend Saxons won 34-19 at Holt and are now nine points clear of second placed Woodford.
In Counties Two Essex (South), league leaders Basildon triumphed 29-14 at Canvey Island.
