THERE were painful defeats for Rochford Hundred and Westcliff in Regional One South East on Saturday.
Bottom of the table Westcliff lost 47-41 at home to Harpenden while Rochford were beaten 27-25 to Bedford Athletic at Magnolia Road.
Westcliff are now 13 points from safety while second from bottom Rochford are eight points behind Tring who sit just above the drop zone.

In Regional Two Anglia, table-topping Southend Saxons won 38-28 at Norwich and remain 11 points clear of second placed Eton Manor who do have a game in hand.
In Counties Two Essex (South), Billericay beat Kings Cross Steelers 27-21 while Canvey Island were handed a walkover win at home to Barking.
Billericay are third in the table with Canvey fourth.
