Division One: Hadleigh & Thundersley took 11 points from their drawn match away to Westcliff on Sea.

The visitors made 224 all out with K Klein contributing 122 runs and P Shaw taking 5-62.

P Fosh (72) and L Hurley (59) led the Westcliff reply, which reached 203-7 to earn them eight points.

Division Two: Basildon & Pitsea clocked up their fourth win of the season with a six-wicket home win over Buckhurst Hill.

The visitors were back in the pavilion for 164 before I Tooke (54no) helped Basildon to 165-4 and 18 points to Hill’s five.

Wickford got six points from their five-wicket home defeat to Wanstead IV.

K Jargobin hit 65 for the hosts, who were bowled out for 168 before J Hutchins’ 90 helped Wanstead to 169-5 and 18 points.

Horndon lost by 75 runs at home to Ilford and got six points to their visitors’ 18.

S Ali (95) and I Ashrad (50) were the leading lights as Ilford compiled 276 all out, but M Gabbitt took 6-31 as Horndon were restricted to 151 all out in reply. Division Three: Leigh on Sea fell two points further behind Billericay in their hunt for promotion.

Leigh got 18 points from their seven-wicket win over Old Southendian & Southchurch, but Billericay’s 45-run triumph over Epping earned them 20 points.

Old Southendian posted 213-5 against their visitors from Leigh, but the third-placed side replied with 217-3 to leave their hosts with nine points.

R Garrett top-scored for hosts Billericay as they declared on 226-7 before bowling out their Epping visitors for 181 to leave them with six points.

Leaders Chelmsford IV maintained their championship march with a 126-run win over bottom-of-the-table Benfleet.

S Pandya (84) and J Sterland (57) led the way as Chelmford posted 184-8 declared, with Ron Stead cliaming 5-54.

But Benfleet were bowled out for 58 as A Fergus claimed 5-20 to earn Chelmsford 20 points and Benfleet three.

Southend on Sea beat visitors Gidea Park & Romford IV by five-wickets to collect 18 points.

Gidea Park were bowled out for 127 as J Gilroy took 5-41 and then Southend replied with 128-5 to leave their visitors with four points.

Orsett had the better of their draw away to Old Parkonians as they took 12 points to their hosts’ seven.

A Seghal hit 52 for Orsett as they made 238-6 declared. S Patel (100) and L Lee (70) led the run chase, which finished at 230-9.
