CONCORD Rangers are likely to give another chance to a man who could become a giant presence at the club when they host Blue Square South outfit Thurrock (7.45pm) tonight.

Giant defender David Obaze has just been released from Southend United’s youth set-up and his advisors are anxious for him to get experience at a good non-league level.

Obaze impressed with a solid showing at the heart of the Canvey club’s reaguard in the first-half of Saturday’s 2-1 Thames Road defeat by Premier Division side AFC Hornchurch.

Although not signed yet, Obaze is likely to join Concord, who are preparing for their first season at Ryman One North level.

Billericay Town’s New Lodge date with Concord’s Ryman One North neighbours Redbridge also kicks-off at 7.45pm.

Admission prices at the Ryman Premier club’s Blunts Wall Road ground are £5 adults, £4 concessions, £2 under-16s and £1 under-12s accompanied by an adult.

At Burroughs Park, Ryman One North Great Wakering Rovers will admit fans for reserve game prices when Essex Senior League Hullbridge Sports visit tonight.

There is an attractive game at Rookery Hill when Ryman One North East Thurrock United, having beaten Thurrock 2-1 at the weekend, host promoted Premier Division side Darford (7.45pm).

Blue Square Premier Grays Athletic are visiting British Gas Business League outfit Hemel Hempstead Town.

Aveley got off the mark with a 1-0 win at last season’s FA Vase semi-finalists Needham Market on Saturday, but tonight’s scheduled visit to Essex Senior League Basildon United is off.
