Albion fans are awaiting to hear what the future holds for Lewis Dunk amid conflicting reports regarding Harry Maguire's future.
The Leicester centre-back is believed to be keen to move to Manchester United or Manchester City if an offer of at least £80million is made.
A report in The Sun claims Leicester have already agreed to sell Maguire to Manchester United and lined up a £45million deal to sign Dunk as his replacement.
Other sources believe Maguire is some way from becoming a United player.
The Argus understands Dunk is among a number of players on the Foxes' target list should their prized defender leave the club.
Burnley centre-back James Tarkowski would also come under consideration as a suitable replacement.
It is believed Leicester would have to pay more than the £45million fee reported to land Dunk.
The Argus reported last month Dunk was 95% certain to lead the club next season.
Home-grown Dunk and defensive partner Shane Duffy have been the bedrock of Albion’s rise from the Championship and two seasons of safety in the Premier League.
Dunk led Albion in their opening pre-season friendly against FC Liefering in Austria over the weekend and scored the opening goal.
